Roselea Cottage was built on one of the allotments subdivided from Roselea, a grand Victorian colonial residence in 1947 shortly thereafter. It is of Freestone Art Deco style construction display attributes true to its post-World War II era during which building materials were scarce which nonetheless add to its charm.
Architecturally it displays unique features such as such metal door frames throughout and round corners to the front rooms.
Since being built, it has been a happy family home until acquired and renovated as a bed and breakfast establishment early in year 2007. It now presents as an eclectic mix of old and new with art, leadlight, heritage and ambiance creating a special experience for guests from around the world.
